Cleaning with Health in Mind

Store-bought cleaning products can contain harmful chemicals and toxins that are not listed on the label. It is even more important to use toxin free cleaning products when you have a baby or child in your home. Online databases can help you compare the ingredients found in everyday cleaning products so you can purchase nontoxic products. Homemade cleaning products (which usually consist of baking soda, water, and vinegar) are another inexpensive, effective, and easy solution, and they can be stored for a long time.

Add a drop of lavendar oil to your homemade cleaning products for a natural fresh scent. Lavendar oil is also a natural insect repellant as is tea tree oil.
