Cheryl Forberg is an award winning chef, author of a New York Times best selling book and the featured nutritionist for TV’s “The Biggest Loser”. In this short video she explains how to read the “nutrition facts” box and offers tips on how to decode labels on “whole grain” foods so that we can make better choices.
Tips:
- Look for products that contain 100% whole grain.
- Take a closer look at the ingredient list, whole grains such as wheat and oats should be first.
- Enriched wheat flour shouldn’t be included at all, it’s just another term for refined white flour.
