How to Nurture a Healthy Body Image in Girls

Carol Weston, author of Girltalk, talks about what parents can do to help their growing children address confusion about their bodies. Encourage your children to find real examples of healthy body image in their community, acknowledging that a diversity of body shapes are beautiful. She recommends cutting down on the “s” words: snacks, sweets, seconds, and soda. “There is no such thing as perfect.”
