Fabiana Arrastia, a native of Argentina, outgrew her cultural conditioning of eating meat while a young adult. Her personal journey with Eastern philosophies, primarily Buddhism, taught her the importance of sacred reverence for all living beings. She is a self-taught macrobiotic, vegan and vegetarian cook and, like Hippocrates, believes that food is medicine. She lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband, two kids, and two dogs.
