Thanks to all who attended the Black Farmers and Urban Gardeners (BUG) Conference Saturday Oct. 15th, 2011 at Hostos Community College! Parent Earth presented at one of their workshops called: “Video as an Organizing Tool: A Hands-On Workshop and Discussion”

The day started off with some very inspiring keynote speeches from K. Rashid Nuri who is the chief executive for Truly Living Well and Audrey Rowe who is the Food and Nutrition Service Administrator for the USDA.

Also in attendance were youth from Added Value–it was great to see young people involved in food issues!
